Parker Diffie
“Third Rock From the Son”
Parker Diffie is the oldest child of country music legend Joe Diffie. He grew up performing as a member of his dad’s band. Today, he’s stepping into the spotlight with his Third Rock From the Son tour. The show is Parker’s tribute to his dad’s legend and music.
Parker is the executor of the Joe Diffie estate. When asked how this responsibility affected him, Parker says, “I was thrust into the role of executor of his estate, which not only provided me with a unique opportunity to honor my father’s memory but also challenged me to step out of the shadows and embrace my own voice.”
He has taken the role seriously and it has led to tremendous career growth of his own. Parker was instrumental in bringing HIXTAPE Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE together in partnership with HARDY. The 2024 collection of Joe Diffie hits includes posthumous collaborations with a who’s who of music royalty including Post Malone, Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, and many others. The project features the final recording of Country Music Hall-of-Famer Toby Keith, who performed on “Ships That Don’t Come In” with Joe Diffie and Combs.
Parker himself is featured on the project with his dad and HARDY, collaborating on the only previously unreleased song, “Life Had Plans for Me.” “To have the chance to perform alongside my father one last time is an indescribable and deeply meaningful experience,” Parker says of the track.
Shortly after DIFFTAPE was released, Parker performed on the Grand Ole Opry, a stage he took many times as a member of his dad’s band. This time he performed side-by-side with Mark Wills, a close friend of Joe and Parker.
Parker and his wife Tasha created and hosted a Podcast called “Who Do We Think We Are?,” where they had an opportunity to talk with many of Joe’s friends, collaborators, and business partners. For Parker, the podcast was yet another way to keep the stories and memory of his dad alive.
In September 2025, Parker organized and hosted The Diffie Classic, a charity golf tournament in his dad’s name. The event also included a concert that featured Collin Raye, a number of hit songwriters, and a roaring set of Joe Diffie hits performed by Parker.
Parker is now breathing new life into his dad’s hits with Third Rock From the Son, a new tribute show he’s taking on the road in 2026.
